Aurum's chief designer, Guðbjörg, had the immense honour to create necklace for superstar Katy Perry at a special event in Reykjavik this weekend.

The world famous singer was the star of this exclusive event where as ‘Godmother’, she officially named the ship Norwegian PRIMA during Norwegian Cruise Line festivities in the Icelandic capital.

Exclusive invitation

Aurum’s Guðbjörg and co-founder Karl Jóhann Jóhannsson were part of a select group of guests from all over the world and who joined the President and owner of the ship Norwegian PRIMA, who presented the necklace to Katy Perry.  Following the naming ceremony the multi award-winning singer performed an exclusive concert for the guests.

The necklace

This one of a kind necklace is from Aurum’s Drifa collection is crafted in recycled 925 sterling silver and is set with diamonds and sapphires.  The Drifa collection evokes the idea of snowfall, where individual snowflakes each with unique shapes and textures connect to make a beautiful whole. The necklace is designed to flow across the neck and back to create a dramatic effect.

Guðbjörg began designing the necklace in February and she also designed an exquisite custom-made bracelet in 925 sterling silver, set with yellow diamonds to complement the necklace.
