Established in 1999, we are Iceland's leading jewelry brand and take pride in creating truly unique jewelry designs inspired by Icelandic nature, which have gained worldwide acclaim from such authorities as Condé Nast Traveler, Timeout, Vogue, and Town & Country. We are also highly regarded for our sustainable business practices.
Each and every piece is expertly handcrafted in our Reykjavík workshop, using sterling silver and other precious metals and gems, procured exclusively from sustainable sources.
Award – winning jewellery designer Guðbjörg Kristín Ingvarsdótir is the name behind our unique Icelandic jewellery. Her innovative jewellery designs are a combination of delicate individual elements inspired by her surroundings. Guðbjörg often seeks her inspiration from the Icelandic nature and spends time in the West fjords where the majestic and raw landscape has become a source of inspiration, enforcing the natural creativity she possesses.
“Always elegant and polished, unique, and wild - I feel it captures many of the things that make Iceland itself beautiful. I love the detail in each piece as well as the delicacy and minimalism.”
“I highly recommend Aurum to friends. With so many 'usual'jewelry lines out there, Aurum breaks away from the norm with a classy touch. I have always been impressed with the design, workmanship and presentation of thejewelry. I get compliments all the time!”
“Beautiful, inspired designs - both simple and intricate. Different from other jewellery and lovely finishes - especially the bronze and leather as well as silver and gold. Free postage to the other side of the world is a huge plus! The packaging is wonderful too - a paper mache box that looks like a small rock. I would actually buy just the box!”
"Guðbjörg at Aurum is one of Reykjavík's more interesting designers; her whisper-thin silver jewellery is sophisticated stuff, its shapes often inspired by leaves and flowers. Collectibles fill the other side of the shop."
